About this place
A cocktail named for its neighbourhood offers one way to get a sense of Nihonbashi. MANDARIN BAR’s Nihonbashi G&T uses gyokuro green tea to evoke the area’s history and culture. Another cocktail simply called Nihonbashi combines yuzu and grapefruit, offering a different choice from the tea-inflected gin and tonic.
The Mandarin Mojito brings citrus to the mix, with vodka infused with orange peel, mint, lemon and soda. One customer recalled finding it easy to drink, making it a possible choice for starting the evening.
For something more substantial, there is a club sandwich. Bacon, grilled chicken and an omelette with Comté cheese are layered between toasted white bread, with a choice of French fries or green salad on the side. A diner who ordered it described it as a satisfying option when looking for a full meal.
The menu also lists late-night choices such as fried squid with green chilli and ponzu sauce, and curry rice topped with Japanese beef sirloin steak. Guests have mentioned enjoying drinks while looking out at the night view, and one account also noted live music. In Nihonbashi Muromachi, Chuo City, this bar can suit an evening centred on cocktails or a meal accompanied by a sandwich.
